An-Nawwas bin Sam‘an (Radiyallahu Anhu) tok say:
One early morning, di Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) tok about Dajjaal. As e dey talk, e go describe an as something wey small, and den e go describe an as something wey big, until we come think say Dajjaal don hide inside di palm trees near us. When we come go meet di prophet for evening, e see say fear don catch us.
E ask: “Wetin happen?”
We come tok say: “Ya Rasulullah, dis morning you tok about Dajjaal, sometimes you lower voice, sometimes you raise am, until we think say e don hide inside di palm trees.”
Di Prophet (ﷺ) tok: “No be Dajjaal dey fear me pass for una. If e show face while I still dey, I go defend una against am. But if e come when I no dey again, everybody go protect imsef. Na Allah go guide every Muslim. Dajjaal na young man, e get correct curly hair, one of im eye don bulge out, and e no fit see with am. E resemble one man wey dem dey call Abd Al-Uzza bin Qatan. Anybody wey see am, make e recite di first ayat of Surat Al-Kahf for im front.
“E go show for one road between Syria and Iraq, e go spread wahala everywhere. O servants of Allah, make una hold on strong to di truth.”
We come ask: “Ya Rasulullah, how long e go stay for di earth?”
E tok: “Forty days: one day go be like one year, one day like one month, one day like one week, and di remaining days go be like una normal days.”
We ask again: “That day wey go be like one year, our prayer go still be like normal?”
E talk: “No, make una calculate time and still do una Salat properly.”
We ask: “Ya Rasulullah, how e go waka for di earth?”
E tok: “Like rain wey wind dey push, e go dey move fast. E go meet people, e go tell dem make dem follow am, dem go believe am. As dem believe am, e go command di sky, e go rain. E go tell di earth, e go grow food. In di evening, di animals wey dem dey rear go come back with big humps, full milk, and fresh body.
“E go meet another people, e go call dem, but dem no go answer am. E go leave dem, dem no go get anything again. E go enter desert, e go tell am: ‘Bring out your treasures.’ Di treasures go rush out like swarms of bees.
“E go call one young man wey full of life, e go cut am into two with sword. E go put di two pieces far from each other. Later, e go call di young man back, e go stand up, start to laugh, and e face go shine with happiness.
“Na dat time Allah go send ‘Isa (Alayhis Salaam), di son of Maryam. ‘Isa go land near di white minaret for east of Damascus. E go wear two cloth wey get small dye. Im hand go dey on di wings of two angels. When e go bend im head, water go drop from am. When e go raise im head, drops go fall like pearl.
“Any disbeliever wey smell di fragrance of ‘Isa go die, and di fragrance go reach anywhere wey im eyes fit see. ‘Isa go pursue Dajjaal until e catch am for di gate of Ludd (near Jerusalem), e go kill am.
“After dat, di people wey Allah don protect go come meet ‘Isa. E go clean their faces and tell dem di level wey dem get for Jannah.
“But Allah go reveal to ‘Isa say: ‘I don bring out some people wey nobody fit fight against. Carry My servants go hide for mountain.’ Na so Allah go release Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog), dem go rush down from everywhere.
“Di first people wey go pass near Lake Tiberias go drink all di water. When di last people go reach, dem go say: ‘Water bin dey here before.’
“Di Prophet ‘Isa and im followers go suffer. One cow head go be more expensive for dem pass one hundred dinar. ‘Isa and im people go beg Allah, Allah go send insects wey go enter di neck of Ya’juj and Ma’juj, dem go all die one time.
“Di followers of ‘Isa go come down, dem no go see even one space for di earth wey no get di dead bodies and di bad smell of Ya’juj and Ma’juj. ‘Isa and im people go pray to Allah again, Allah go send big birds like camels, dem go carry di dead bodies go throw where Allah want.
“Then Allah go send rain, e go wash everywhere until di earth go shine like mirror. Allah go tell di earth: ‘Bring back your blessings.’ Di fruits go big, one pomegranate go feed one whole group of people, dem go even fit use di peel take shade.
“Milk go get plenty barakah: one she-camel milk go feed whole company, one cow go feed full tribe, one sheep go feed whole family.
“Then Allah go send one sweet breeze wey go touch people under their armpit, e go collect di soul of every Muslim and true believer.
“Na only wicked people go remain. Dem go start to do adultery openly like donkeys. Na dem di Qiyamah (Last Day) go meet.”
