عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم -وَهُوَ الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ-

Abdullah wey bi di pikin of Mas’ud talk say: "Di Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), wey no dey yarn dust and wey truth full hin body, come tell us say:

إنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ يُجْمَعُ خَلْقُهُ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا نُطْفَةً، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ عَلَقَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مُضْغَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

'For inside una mama belle, na so dem take arrange una body: di first forty days, e just be like small water drop (nutfah). After another forty days, e go turn to blood clot (alaqah). Then another forty days again, e go change to one small piece of flesh (mudghah), wey be like meat wey pesin don chew small.

ثُمَّ يُرْسَلُ إلَيْهِ الْمَلَكُ فَيَنْفُخُ فِيهِ الرُّوحَ، وَيُؤْمَرُ بِأَرْبَعِ كَلِمَاتٍ: بِكَتْبِ رِزْقِهِ، وَأَجَلِهِ، وَعَمَلِهِ، وَشَقِيٍّ أَمْ سَعِيدٍ

Na dat time one angel go show, come blow soul inside di pikin body. Di angel go still write four strong things about di pesin: how e go take chop survive (rizq), how long e go live (ajal), wetin e go dey do for dis life (amal), and whether e go jolly or e go see gbege for di last day (whether e go enter Jannah or Hellfire).

فَوَاَللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إلَهَ غَيْرُهُ

I swear by Allah, wey no get padi for di mata,

إنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهَا إلَّا ذِرَاعٌ فَيَسْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ الْكِتَابُ فَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَدْخُلُهَا

Some pesin go dey do beta beta like di people wey go enter Jannah, e go remain small make e just enter, but na so e go be, wetin Allah don write go show, di pesin go just change pattern, come do bad last-last, na so e go enter Hellfire.

وَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهَا إلَّا ذِرَاعٌ فَيَسْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ الْكِتَابُ فَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَدْخُلُهَا

Another pesin go just dey do anyhow like di people wey don book space for Hellfire, e go remain small make e enter, but las las, wetin Allah don write go still catch am, di pesin go just change do good, before you know, na Jannah e go enter.
