Ramadan: Na One Special Month for Inside Islam
Ramadan na one of di twelve Arabic months, and e get special respect for Islam. E different from all di oda months because e get plenty beta tins wey make am special. Make we see some:
1. Ramadan na di fourth obonge pillar of Islam
Allah don make fasting for Ramadan one of di five obonge pillars of Islam. E tok am for Qur’an say:
"Di month of Ramadan na di month wey Allah take send di Qur’an come as guidance for people, and as clear sign wey go show dem wetin be di true guidance and wetin be di difference between right and wrong. So anybody wey see di moon for di first night of Ramadan, make e fast di whole month…"
[Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185]
Prophet Muhammad tok say: "Islam stand ontop five obonge pillars: to believe say no god dey except Allah, and say Muhammad na im messenger; to establish prayer; to dey give zakah; to fast for Ramadan; and to do Hajj go Ka’bah."

2. Allah send di Qur’an come for Ramadan
Allah tok again for Qur’an say:
"Verily, We don send down dis Qur’an for di Night of Al-Qadr."
[Surah Al-Qadr 97:1]
Dis mean say, na for Ramadan Allah send di Qur’an come as guidance for di whole world.
3. Laylatul Qadr dey inside dis month
Laylatul Qadr na one special night wey better pass one thousand months. Allah tok for Qur’an say:
"Di Night of Al-Qadr better pass one thousand months… Angels and Jibreel dey come down dat night wit Allah’s permission, and e full wit peace until morning go show."
[Surah Al-Qadr 97:1-5]
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am tok say: "For Ramadan, gates of heaven go open, gates of Hell go close, and bad devils go dey chain. Inside dis month, one night dey wey better pass one thousand months. Anybody wey miss di blessings of dis night don lose plenty good tins." (Sunan Nasaa'i, Musnad Ahmad)
E also tok say: "Anybody wey pray for Laylatul Qadr wit faith and hope of reward, Allah go forgive all im past sins."

4. Fasting for Ramadan dey wash away sins
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am tok say: "Anybody wey fast Ramadan wit faith and dey hope for reward, Allah go forgive all di sins wey e don do before." (Bukhari & Muslim)
E still tok say: "Anybody wey pray for Ramadan night wit faith and dey expect reward, Allah go forgive im past sins."
5. Gates of Paradise go open, and gates of Hell go close
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am tok say: "When Ramadan enter, di gates of Paradise go open, di gates of Hell go close, and di devils go dey chain."

6. Every night, Allah go free some people from Hellfire
Every night for Ramadan, Allah go carry some people comot from Hellfire. Prophet tok say: "For every time wey people dey break fast, Allah dey comot some people from Hellfire."

7. Ramadan fasting dey clean sins from di past year
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am tok say: "Di five day to day prayers, from one Jumu’ah to di next, and from one Ramadan to di next, dey wash away di sins wey dey between dem, as long as person no do big sin."
(Muslim)
8. Fasting for Ramadan be like fasting ten months
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am tok say: "Anybody wey fast Ramadan, one month be like ten months. If e still fast six days for Shawwal, e go complete di whole year."
(Musnad Ahmad)
9. If you pray Tarawih wit di Imam till di end, e be like say you pray all night
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am tok say: "Anybody wey pray qiyam (Tarawih) wit di Imam until di Imam finish, Allah go write am for am as if e don pray all night."
(Abu Dawud)
10. Umrah for Ramadan be like Hajj
Prophet tok say: "If person do Umrah for Ramadan, e be like say e do Hajj."

11. I’tikaf (to stay inside mosque to worship Baba God for some days)
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am dey always do I’tikaf for di last ten days of Ramadan, and im wives continue after im don die.

12. Ramadan na time to read and study Qur’an well well
Jibreel (Gabriel) dey always meet Prophet Muhammad peace be upon am every night for Ramadan to study Qur’an together.

13. If you give person food to break fast, you go get reward
Prophet tok say: "Anybody wey give food to fasting person to break e fast, go collect di same reward as di person wey fast, and e no go reduce di reward of di fasting person at all."
(Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)
Ramadan na one special month wey Allah don bless for Islam. Make we take dis month serious, fast well, pray plenty, read Qur’an, and do good so that we go get Allah blessing.
