Hold Allah tight kakaranka, you go see say E go dey your front. If you sabi Allah when life soft, E go stand for you when yawa gas

Anas wey bi di pikin of Maalik tok Say:

"I never see any day wey better or bright pass di day wey di Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) come meet us. And I never see any day wey dark pass di day wey di Messenger of Allah die."

Na For Monday, 29th of Safar, di 11th year of Hijrah, Prophet Muhammad follow dem go bury person for Al-Baqi. As e dey come back, im head come dey hot, di fever strong sotay if dem touch im head, dem go feel di heat. Even though sickness hold am, e still lead di Muslims for prayer for eleven days. Altogether, di sickness hold am for thirteen or fourteen days.

   As di sickness come serious, do Prophet ask im wives:

"Where I go stay tomorrow?" Or "Where I go stay?" Dem understand wetin e mean, so dem gree make e stay for anywhere e wan stay. Na so dem carry am go A’ishah room. As e dey waka, e lean on top al-Fadl ibn Al-Abbaas and Ali ibn Abi Taalib. Im head dey tie with bandage, and e dey drag leg as e waka go A’ishah place. Na for there e spend di last week of im life.

For dat period, A’ishah go dey read al-Mu'awwidhat (Surah 113 & 114) and some prayers wey Prophet don teach her before.

For Wednesday, five days before e die, di Prophet fever come rise well well. E come faint, di pain come strong. E come tok say:

"Make una pour seven big pots of water from different wells on top my body, make I fit get strength go meet people talk to dem."

Dem con put am inside one big washing bowl, begin pour di water for im body. E con tok say:

"E don do, e don do."

As e con feel small better, e waka go di mosque. E still tie bandage for head, siddon for di pulpit, come tok to di people wey gather. E tok say:

"Allah curse di Jews and di Christians because dem take di graves of dem Prophets as place of worship."

E con tok again say:

"No make my grave turn idol wey people go worship."

Den e come tok say anybody wey e don offend before make e come collect im right. E tok say:

"Anybody wey I don flog before, make e flog me back. Anybody wey I don abuse before, make e abuse me back."

One man con tok say:

"Ya Rasulullah, you dey owe me three dirhams."

Di Prophet con tok say:

"Fadl, pay am di money."

E con tell di people say make dem dey good to di Ansaar (di Helpers). E tol say:

"Di number of believers go plenty, but di number of Helpers go reduce. So anybody wey dey power, make e take care of dem well well."

E con tok say:

"Allah don give one slave chance to choose between dis world enjoyment and di enjoyment for Hereafter. Di slave con choose Hereafter."

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri tok say as di Prophet tol dis one, Abu Bakr start to dey cry. People no understand wetin e mean. But later dem con know say di slave wey Prophet dey tok about na himself, and Abu Bakr na di person wey sabi am pass all of dem.

Di Prophet con say:

"Di person wey I trust pass for dis world na Abu Bakr. If I for fit get best friend wey no be Allah, I for choose Abu Bakr. But Allah na my best friend. Make una no leave any door open for mosque, except di door of Abu Bakr."

For Thursday, four days before e die, Prophet Muhammad tok say:

"Make una come make I write something wey go make una no ever go astray."

But Umar ibn Al-Khattaab tok say:

"Di Prophet dey sick, and we get di Qur’an. Di Book of Allah don de enough for us"

Dem con start to argue. Di Prophet come vex, tell dem make dem leave am alone. [Sahih al-Bukhari, 2/637]

That same day, e give three instructions:

1. Make dem drive Jews, Christians, and idol worshippers comot for Arabia.

2. Make dem dey respect and take care of di delegations wey dey visit.

3. Di third one, di narrator forget am. Some people talk say na make dem hold Qur’an and Sunnah tight, others talk say na di issue of Usamah army or di importance of prayer.

For Monday morning, as Abu Bakr dey lead di Muslims for Subh prayer, Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) shift di curtain of A’ishah room. E look dem as dem dey pray well well, e smile. Di Muslims con happy, dem nearly forget say dem dey pray. Abu Bakr wan move make Prophet take over, but Prophet signal am make e continue.

Dis na di last time wey people see am alive.

Later dat morning, e call Fatimah, tell am something wey make am cry. Den e tell am another one wey make am laugh. When dem ask Fatimah wetin Prophet tell am, she tok say:

"First, e tell me say e no go well again, na why I cry. But later, e tell me say na me go first join am among di family, na why I laugh."

E con tell am say:

"You go be di oga of all women for dis world."

Di pain wey Prophet dey feel con strong. E tok say:

"Di poison wey I chop for Khaybar don start to affect me again. I dey feel like say death don reach."

E con tell people say make dem dey pray well well and make dem dey treat slaves well. E repeat am many times.

As di last moment of im life reach, A’ishah hold am for chest. She tok say:

"Allah bless me say Prophet die for my house, for my hand, and Allah mix my spit with im own before e die."

Abdur-Rahman wey bi di pikin of Abi Bakr bring siwak (tooth stick), Prophet look am, A’ishah con ask am if e wan am. E nod. She con soften am with her mouth before e use am brush im teeth.

After e brush finish, e raise im hand, look up and tok say:

"Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, and carry me go join di best people for Jannah."

Den e tok again:

"Di most exalted Companionship on high..."

Na so Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) take kpai for Monday morning, 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, 11th year of Hijrah. E die at di age of sixty-three years and four days.

Madinah scatter with grief. Anas tok say:

"Di day wey Prophet come to us na di best day wey I ever see, and di day wey e die na di worst day."

Fatimah con cry:

"O my papa! You don go meet your Lord. O my papa! You don go Paradise."

Umar no gree say Prophet don kpai. E tok say:

"Prophet no die! Na like Musa wey go, e go soon come back!"

Na Abu Bakr come correct everybody. E tell dem:

"If you dey worship Muhammad, make you know say Muhammad don kpai. But if you dey worship Allah, make you know say Allah no dey ever kpai".

E come recite Surah Aal-Imraan (3:144). As people hear dis ayah, dem con understand say Prophet don really die.

Na so dem prepare am for burial. Dem wash am, wrap am inside three white cloth, and bury am for di exact place wey e die.
